A CONVERSATION WITH:

Susan N. Herman
: the President of the American Civil Liberties Union. She writes extensively on constitutional and criminal procedure topics and has recently published a book, The Right to a Speedy and Public Trial.

JoAnne Page: the President and CEO of the Fortune Society, a non-profit organization pioneering policies to assist former prisoners in reintegration into society. Under JoAnne’s stewardship, Fortune’s innovative and successful initiatives have become models for similar programs across the country.
